Michael Niman – President & CEO
Prior to co-founding Nonprofit Business Solutions Michael Niman spent nine years with the investment bank JPMorgan. During Mr. Niman’s tenure he was responsible for international divisional mergers, six sigma quality initiatives, and large-scale system implementations. Mr. Niman was the first Leadership Day President’s Award winner for the development of a “Leveraging Diversity” training program designed to capture competitive advantage through cultural diversity.

After JPMorgan Mr. Niman spent 3 years at HomeEarth, Inc., a nonprofit fundraising company, where he served as Managing Director of Client Services and Business Development. At HomeEarth Mr. Niman was responsible for the cultivation of client relationships and new business development.

Mr. Niman's interest in helping nonprofits was a result of a 12 month sabbatical where he traveled to over a dozen national parks and 20 cities across the United States. Mr. Niman then spent five months as a volunteer adaptive ski instructor (helping those with disabilities enjoy alpine skiing). Ever since Mr. Niman has spent his time and energy developing Nonprofit Business Solutions in an attempt to help nonprofits spend more time and money on mission relevant activities.

Mr. Niman holds a Bachelor’s degree in Finance and MIS from the University of Vermont.


John J. Backof II – CIO & Co-founder
Prior to co-founding Nonprofit Business Solutions John J. Backof II was a founder of HomeEarth serving as a Board Member and Chief Technology Officer. Mr. Backof has over sixteen years of experience in the information-technology field and is responsible for the design and creation of all of Nonprofit Business Solutions flexible client architecture and proprietary systems, built specifically for non-profit organizations. Prior to HomeEarth, Mr. Backof served as President and CEO of World Line Communications Corp., a web services consulting firm specializing in the building of complex technology solutions for companies ranging from small non-profits to fortune 100 networking and financial institutions.

Mr. Backof holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of Delaware.


Lisa Allred - Vice President, Vendor Management & Retail Operations
Mrs. Allred has over 15 years experience in the customer service industry with more than 10 years in supervisory positions. Specifically, Mrs. Allred has spent more than 10 years managing order processing, inventory management, sales, and e-commerce management. Mrs. Allred has built many of operational procedures, quality controls, and customer service processes at Nonprofit Business Solutions. Under Mrs. Allred's leadership our clients benefit from robust, controlled, and efficient operational services.

Outside of work Mrs. Allred is an active member of her society acting as a Girl Scout Troop Leader, director of her civic association event planning committee, and leader of her daughters' school PTA fundraising committee.


Herb Duggan - General Manager, Warehouse Operations
Mr. Duggan has over 30 years of warehouse operations experience and is the Senior Manager responsible for all United States based logistics operations. Mr. Duggan manages 721,000 square feet of warehouse space and a seasonal staffing base that ranges from 80 to 400 employees. Under Mr. Duggan's leadership our warehouse facility delivers more then 2.5 million orders annually and maintains a 99.99% inventory accuracy rating since 2002.

Mr. Duggan holds a Bachelor's degree from the Illinois Benedictine University Primary and has a Secondary Teaching Certification for the State of Illinois.


Mena Sexton - Call Center Manager
Ms. Sexton brings with her 18 years of Call Center operations experience. Ms. Sexton is highly knowledgeable with call center applications, such as IVR and CCR, and has a unique understanding of both the practical and technical aspects of the business.

Ms. Sexton understands the importance of maintaining integrity and guaranteeing a high level of customer service. Under her leadership the Nonprofit Business Solutions call center exceeds the industry standard grade of service by achieving an average of 98%. Ms. Sexton ensures these levels are always reached through continual focused training with all representatives.
